A young student from Kirigu Primary School has died after a speeding car hit him at Ruthimitu Girls Stage in Nairobi. Vincent Kilonzo, the victim, succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at Dagoretti Sub-County Hospital in Mutuini.

Eyewitness Account: Driver Was Speeding

According to witnesses, the driver lost control of the vehicle due to excessive speed. The tragic accident occurred as Vincent was walking home from school.

“My child had just left school. When he reached Ruthimitu stage, a car came and hit my son. When I got to Mutuini Hospital, I found out my child had passed away,” the grieving mother told reporters.

Medical staff at Dagoretti Sub-County Hospital confirmed that Vincent was brought in with severe injuries but could not be saved. The exact cause of death is yet to be officially disclosed, but witnesses insist reckless driving was to blame.
