In a message addressed to candidates across the country, the commission extended its warmest wishes to all learners undertaking the three national examinations, recognising the dedication, discipline and hard work they have demonstrated throughout their academic journeys.

The message comes as thousands of learners across Kenya prepare to demonstrate the knowledge and skills they have acquired throughout their years of schooling.

The 2026 KCSE examinations mark an important milestone for secondary school learners seeking to complete their secondary education and qualify for opportunities in universities, colleges and other tertiary institutions.

Meanwhile, KJSEA candidates are undertaking assessments under Kenya’s Competency-Based Education (CBE) system as they complete the junior school level and prepare for their next stage of learning.

KPSEA candidates are also participating in the national assessment designed to evaluate learning outcomes at the end of primary school.

The three assessments represent important stages in Kenya’s education system, with learners, teachers, parents and school administrators playing critical roles in supporting candidates throughout the examination period.

Message to Teachers, Parents and Candidates

The TSC’s message also highlights the importance of continued encouragement and support from teachers, parents and guardians during the national examination period.

Candidates have been encouraged to remain disciplined, follow examination guidelines and approach every paper with a positive mindset.

Teachers have equally played an important role in preparing learners through classroom instruction, revision programmes and continuous assessment throughout the academic year.

As the 2026 national examinations get underway, the commission’s message serves as a reminder that examinations are an important academic milestone but do not define the full potential of any learner.

The TSC has wished all KPSEA, KJSEA and KCSE 2026 candidates success, expressing confidence in their abilities and encouraging them to approach the examinations with courage and determination.

Best wishes to all 2026 national examination candidates across Kenya.
