“We’re just dying like hens”: outrageous as Uber driver dies in his car.

A Uber driver has sent a shock wave after he allegedly died in his car.

According to viral social media reports, the driver died while on duty.

Betty, a social media user accuses the CS for Transport Hon Kipchumba Murkomen and National Transport Service Authority over lack of safety to online taxi drivers.

At the time of going to press, the cause of his death was yet to be identified.

“R.I.P kiongozi, you died on duty, @kipmurkomen @ntsa_kenya. Which measures do you take on online taxi drivers. It has been a song, zero safety on online taxi drivers.” Betty said in a post.

Adding that: “We’re just dying like hens @uber_kenya and @Boltapp_ke they careless bora wapate commission.”

Danson Maundu James, a social media enthusiast, while reacting, said the government of Kenya must come clear on the blackmail and corruption inside out, where the Oppressive Apps UBER & BOLT have got guts to Exploit Digital drivers.

Maundu noted that Uber Company “must be sued Failure to follow.”

Uber Driver:

Maundu went further to detail that the running and operation cost of Digital Taxi is very pathetic because of “failure by government to enforce regulations and policies safeguarding interest of stakeholders in the industry.”

He called on those responsible in Gov’t to “kindly respond to Digital drivers/Bodaboda Industry” which he noted”is collapsing on the hands of oppressive Apps UBER & BOLT failure Follow gazetted regulations for the industry & failure to increase fares”

“The issue to merge online drivers into saccos is not sinking well since drivers have nothing to smile as they have nothing to save.Kindly @kipmurkomen enforce 30% fare increment on all apps and strictly follow Regulations.” He said.
