St Anthony wins against Dagoretti 2-1

St Anthony Boys – Kitale once again beat Dagoretti High School 2-0 at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega to win the National Boys High School Soccer Championship.

Aldrin Kibet, the player of the tournament, hit in both halves to decide the game which drew large crowds, including Sports CS Ababu Namwamba.

This year’s final replicates the 2019 final in Kisumu, with the Saints defeating Dagoretti High 5-4 on post-match penalties.

Saint Peters burg’s 2-0 win against Pokhongo on Saturday afternoon avenged their group-stage defeat, losing 1-0 at the hands of Dagoretti on Thursday to finish second in Group B.

The 2-0 win by St. Anthony at Bukhungu on Saturday afternoon also avenged their group stage loss in which they were beaten 1-0 by Dagoretti on Thursday to finish second in Group B.

“Congratulations to St. Anthony’s. That was a brilliant display. Our boys from Dagoretti can take heart from their valiant effort as well. There is room for improvement.” The Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna said in a tweet.
