Sonko secures form one admission for needy girl after a viral video.

The former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has finally Secured Form One Admission for a needy girl Margret Koki at State House Girls.

Margaret Koki who hails from Ekalakala, matuu scored 372 marks in the 2022 KCPE exams at Ikombe Primary School but was stranded at home because her jobless single mother was unable to raise her school fees, uniforms and other basic school requirements.

“Finally I personally Secured Form One Admission for a needy girl Margret Koki at State House Girls. Margaret Koki who hails from Ekalakala, matuu scored 372 marks in the 2022 KCPE exams at Ikombe Primary School but was stranded at home coz her jobless single mother was unable.” Sonko said in a tweet.

He says he learnt about the case after coming across her appeal video on social media earlier that day.

“I was very much touched and saddened by the story and almost became emotional.” He said.

Sonko immediately posted the video on his social media platforms requesting for the girl to be brought to his office after which he facilitated for all her requirements to ensure she reports to school today as he had promised in earlier post.

He captioned the video. “I have just come across this video, can the parents of this bright girl who has been called to Statehouse Girls reach out to my office immediately and not later than today. This girl must go to school today, we have to support the future generation who are leaders of tomorrow.”
