Police in Bungoma County have made a major breakthrough in the fight against drug trafficking after intercepting a massive consignment of cannabis weighing 243 kilograms. The arrest was made earlier yesterday in the Duka Moja area, Tongaren Sub-County, following an intelligence-led operation by officers from Kiminini Police Station.

Suspect in Custody

A 25-year-old suspect was apprehended while in possession of the illegal substance, suspected to be cannabis sativa. The police swiftly moved in after receiving a tip-off, leading to the seizure of the drugs, which were concealed in sacks. The suspect is currently detained pending arraignment as investigations continue.
