In a surprising twist of events, Mugwandi Secondary School in Kirinyaga County has captured national attention due to its unusual setup — one student being taught by eight Teachers Service Commission (TSC) educators. Located in a remote village, Mugwandi Secondary was once a functioning educational institution. However, a significant exodus of students has left only one Form Two student behind. Reports reveal that parents transferred their children to other schools due to a prolonged delay by the TSC in appointing a Principal. This solitary student now has the undivided attention of eight teachers, creating an unprecedented learning environment.
