Kindiki’s bold move to end violence in Nyanza.

The Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki has made a bold move to violence in Nyanza County.

In a statement via twitter, the CS has today the 31st May 2023 held a meeting with security agencies in the region to address the issues.

This comes days after local attacked a police station where one person was reportedly killed.

A group of Mob stormed Rabuor Police station and demanded removal of OCS.

The were protesting after a woman was killed after attack by gang which sparked public anger.

“In Isebania, Migori County to address security concerns following last week’s attack on the local police station by mobs armed with crude weapons, leading to confrontations in which five people were fatally injured and scores of civilians and police officers injured.”

“Held a meeting with the Nyanza Region and Migori County Security and Intelligence Teams. Acts of violence, looting, and destruction of property cannot be entertained or tolerated.” Stated Kindiki.

There has been a member of confrontation between police and locals Inthe region Inthe past days.
