The Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has said the IG Japheth Koome could be “mentally ill” in his recent remarks.
He was reacting to the claims by the Inspector General of Police that dead bodies were hired to represent victims of police brutality in recent Azimio’s protest.
Koome, while speaking on a local TV station, questioned why a leader could resort to hiring bodies in order to paint police in bad light.
Koome, in a statement, assured the members of the public that they are keen in protecting properties and lives.
Koome downplayed the Azimio’s threats to take him and other colleagues to ICC court saying it has no implication and that they have a duty as police.
Sifuna, in his reply, noted that Kenyans already know that most Kenya Kwanza officials “are neither competent nor suitable to hold any office, Public or Private.”
Sifuna detailed that “it is time for Kenyans to now question their sanity.” And that “People like Koome could actually be mentally ill. Such a morbid idea cannot germinate in a sane mind.”
