Police, on Friday 9th June 2023 nabbed a G4S lorry transporting bhang from Busia to Nairobi.
The marijuana, according to police reports, it worth over Ksh. 900,000.
“On 9/06/2023, Police Officers from Nambale Police Station flagged down a G4S lorry driven from Busia en route to Nairobi at the station’s gate, and recovered two boxes containing 30 kgs and 50 rolls of suspected Marijuana, with a street value of Kshs 910,000.” A statement from police reads.
Two male suspects, namely Omondi 29 and his counterpart, Okech, 50 are said to be in police custody pending arraignment before Busia Law Courts on Monday 12/6/2023 by the DCI Anti-Narcotics Unit.
Police thanked members of the public for their support in provision of information which led to a successful operation.
