Former presidential contestant Ekuru Aukot has hit out at president William Samoe Ruto over his manifesto to transform Kenya into Singapore.
In a hard hitting statement, Ekuru Aukot termed Ruto’s dream as “absurd and totally dishonest.”
“My reflections for the week ahead! It’s really absurd & totally dishonest for President William Ruto to lie to Kenyans that he wants Kenya to be like Singapore.” Said Ekuru Aukot.
Aukot expressed pessimism saying “this can not happen.”
He detailed that Singapore’s national ethos remains Merit and Honesty in All State appointments.
According to Aukot, taxpayers’ money is not wasted in luxury for politicians in Singapore as it is in Kenya.
“Annual budgets are zero rated and not piled on last year’s leading to massive wastages….NARC govt made free primary education possible by limiting All state offices to a Passat car only doing away with Mercedes, Prados etc.”
“No private businesses can waste money buying high-end luxury cars for their staff anywhere in the world the way Kenya Govt does. It is madness.”
