The Ethics and Ant-corruption Commission says it is now at an advanced stage of the investigations into allegations of embezzlement of funds from the Uasin Gishu Overseas Trust Fund by officials of the County Government.
According to reports seen by the K47 digital news team, the inquiry reportedly commenced in March 2023.
As part of this investigation, the Commission says yesterday, the 1st of August 2013, it interviewed and recorded a Statement from the Hon. Jackson Kiplagat Mandago who served as the County Governor when the Overseas Trust Fund was conceptualized and operationalized.
“Noting the overwhelming public interest in this matter, the investigation has been prioritized with a view to finalizing the remaining aspects within the shortest time possible.”
