BodaBoda Rider Murders Pregnant Wife and Son in Jealous Rage

A quiet morning in Siaya County turned into a scene of unimaginable horror after a bodaboda operator brutally stabbed his pregnant wife and their three-year-old son to death. The gruesome murder-suicide attempt occurred in Rangira village, Ugunja Sub-County, sending shockwaves through the local community.

According to preliminary reports on various social media, the suspect had just returned home from work to take breakfast. A moment of domestic normalcy turned deadly when he allegedly picked up his wife’s phone. A message popped up on the screen, written in a mix of Swahili and Sheng, which read: “Beb nakupenda xana walai umenibebea bol yangu ukiwa na uyo fala,ghai nimeamini unanipendaga ya ukweli kabisa,sina doubt..I hope uyo fala wa pikipiki ajagundua iyo bol sio yake” (Baby, I love you. I swear, you are carrying my child while with that fool. I believed you truly loved me. I have no doubt. I hope that motorcycle fool doesn’t discover that the child isn’t his).

Consumed by a fit of jealous rage, the man is accused of grabbing a knife and attacking his 6-month-pregnant wife and their young son. Both victims succumbed to their stab wounds on the spot. After the heinous act, the man allegedly tried to hang himself but was rescued by neighbours.

The irate villagers then descended on him, administering mob justice with a severe beating. He was later rescued by police officers and is currently under guard at a local hospital, facing imminent arrest for the double murder. Investigations into this tragic Siaya crime are ongoing.
