The Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was on Saturday morning 17th June 2023, joined runners in Nairobi.
The runners included children in what he described as “heart to heart run”.
“This morning, I was glad to join runners, including children, who braved the chilly Saturday morning to participate in the Heart to Heart Run in Nairobi.
“The Karen Hospital Heart to Heart Run has, for the last 30 years, become a symbol of compassion, resilience, and hope for children and families affected by congenital and rheumatic heart diseases.” Said DP Rigathi Gachagua.
“As we celebrate its 30th Anniversary, we recognise that hope has been restored to the over 400 beneficiaries and their families through this noble cause.
“The Hospital has led by example; I challenge the other hospitals and medical stakeholders to emulate this initiative, which in the long run, will complement the Government’s efforts of providing quality healthcare to our people.”
