Vihiga Police Storm Mbihi Village, Seize Illicit Brew in Night Raid

Police in Vihiga Sub-County have stepped up their battle against illicit alcohol after a successful evening raid in Mbihi Village, Wamuluma Location. The intensified operation comes as authorities ramp up efforts to curb the production and distribution of illegal brews that continue to threaten public health and safety across the region.

According to police reports, officers from Mbale Police Station were on routine patrol when they intercepted a suspicious consignment of illicit liquor believed to be destined for distribution within Vihiga County. The officers swiftly seized the illegal brew, securing it as an exhibit as investigations get underway. Authorities say the confiscated alcohol was being transported under the cover of darkness in an attempt to evade law enforcement.

One suspect has been arrested in connection with the illegal operation and is currently in custody.
