Tension High in Sondu as Police Bust Slaughterhouse Selling Stolen Cows from Kericho

Police in Sondu have uncovered a disturbing operation involving the theft and illegal slaughter of livestock, following a successful sting that led to the recovery of stolen meat and the arrest of five suspects.

According to authorities, the cows had been reported stolen from Sigowet in Kericho County. Acting on a tip-off, Sondu police officers launched an investigation that led them to a private slaughterhouse within the area. Upon inspection, they found fresh beef suspected to have come from the stolen animals.

The breakthrough came when the lawful owner of the cows positively identified the remains based on unique physical features, including branding marks and horn shapes. This confirmation allowed officers to take swift action, resulting in the arrest of five individuals believed to be directly involved in the theft and subsequent illegal slaughter.
