Sakaja agrees to help Toi Market victims back to their feets after inferno.

On the night before Sunday 11th, an inferno burnt down properties of unknown values at Toi Market.

The Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, in a statement acknowledged that trader lost so much after the fire incident.

While offering his message of consolation, the county boss noted that they have assessed the same and will help trader rebuild.

He noted that organised food and materials have been allowed into the affected area.

“Traders at Toi Market have lost so much after last night’s inferno. Poleni sana.

“We have assessed the damage and we will help you rebuild. In the meantime we have organised food and material support.” Said Sakaja in a statement.

Adding: “Glad that we have also agreed on creating access throughout the market as we rebuild. This will help emergency vehicles move easier when needed. Poleni watu wangu.”

A local, who spoke exclusively to K47 digital news team said the fire issue should be investigated keenly “…Either someone is willing to grab the land or the gods are fighting traders”
