Petrol to retail at 260 Ksh – Ruto’s Gov’t says.

President William Samoe Ruto’s Gov’t, through the Minister for Trade Hon. Moses Kuria has said the price of petrol will hit Ksh 260 by February.

This, in comparison with the previous regime, will be the highest cost and it will affect almost all basic commodities.

The controversial CS attributed the expected skyrocketing of fuel price to global and climatic changes.

He reiterated that responsible leaders have to tell people the truth.

“I repeat. Petrol will be 260 Ksh by February. And El Nino is coming in 3 weeks that will last till March.”

“These are global and climate change driven. Responsible leaders ought to tell the truth to prepare the people. You can throw stones at me all you want.” Said Kuria in a tweet.

If Kuria’s remarks come to pass, then Ruto’s Gov’t would have done exactly opposite of what he had promised Kenyans in the run up to last year elections.
