Reports reaching our desk currently says that Teachers in Kenya may not get their August salaries on time because of ongoing negotiations with the TSC over a pay rise.
This, according to reports, is if the unions refuse the current proposal by TSC.
It has also been gathered that TSC may be forced to pay as per old salaries rate.
TSC is proposing a salary increase of 9.5 to lower earners and 2.5 to higher earners, a proposal that teaches Unions has refused.
Teachers Unions, that is KUPPET and KNUT are proposing a salary increase of between 70 and 60%.
The talks were paused last week and they are to resume today.
