The Orange Democratic Movement Secretary General Edwin Sifuna says the Azimio’s demonstration was peaceful.
Sifuna, who seems to be in love with adrenaline racing politics says over 250,000 attended today’s protest.
Sifuna thanked people of Nairobi City for coming out in large numbers for demonstration.
“We have finished our peaceful protests for the day. Ahsante sana to the people of Nairobi for turning up and keeping peace.” Sifuna states
He added ” Here are the numbers; Protesters 250,000 Teargas cannisters utilized 90,000 , Water Cannons 45 tanks, Private farms invaded, Private businesses invaded.
This comes as international media covers the negative parts of the demonstration.
The media covered a wide range of demonstration whereby the former president Uhuru Kenyatta’s farm was invaded by goons who cut down trees with power saws, others stole livestock.
A viral social media claimed that the Dp Rigathi Gachagua is behind the attack on president Uhuru Kenyatta’s properties.
Kimani Ichungwa, Moses Kuria have also been implicated in the claims.
However, it’s not clear if the three top Kenya Kwanza leaders played part in the invasion.
“We have given UNEQUIVOCAL instructions to our supporters that NO PRIVATE BUSINESS or PROPERTY is to be touched. Its not as if we dont know where properties owned by Kenya Kwanza minions are located but thats not our beef. Our beef is with ruto not his hotels.” Sifuna stated.
