The National Police Service (NPS) has issued an important addendum to its earlier advertisement on the recruitment of police constables, announcing new changes and corrections to some of the designated recruitment centres across the country.
According to the notice signed by Inspector General Douglas Kanja Kirocho, MGH, CBS, OGW, the NPS clarified that the recruitment exercise—initially advertised on Friday, 31st October 2025 in major newspapers including the Daily Nation, Standard, and The Star—will proceed as planned on Monday, 17th November 2025 in all counties.
However, the service emphasized that certain updates have been made to the recruitment centres to accommodate additional candidates and correct earlier omissions.
In a notable change, the NPS announced that National Youth Service (NYS) candidates will now have the option to present themselves either at their respective home sub-county recruitment centres or at the NYS Headquarters in Ruaraka, Nairobi. This adjustment ensures that Ex-NYS members have a fair and convenient opportunity to participate in the recruitment process.
Additionally, the NPS corrected three recruitment centres that were previously listed incorrectly. The revised centres are as follows:
- Kajiado County: Kajiado West – Ole Polos
- Kajiado County: Elangata Wuas – Elangata Wuas DCC’s Office
- Narok County: Narok West – Ng’osuani Centre
The NPS clarified that all other information contained in the earlier advertisement remains unchanged, urging applicants to adhere to the official recruitment guidelines and appear at the correct centres on the scheduled date.
This addendum serves as an official update to ensure transparency, fairness, and proper coordination during the 2025 National Police recruitment exercise. Applicants are advised to verify their centres carefully to avoid disqualification or delays during the recruitment day.
