Daniel Chigozi, a 30-year-old father, was arrested by Amotekun Corps agents for selling his 9-month-old son to three different buyers in the Sango Ota local government area, Ado-Odo/Ota Ogu; Nigeria.
According to David Akinremy, commander of the Amotekun Corps in Ogun State, the security services were informed that the father lured his son Daniel Chinonye and subsequently sold him to three different buyers in the vicinity of Apapa in Sango, Meyran and Lagos.
Between August 2022 and February 2023, the suspects received payments of N150,000, N400,000 and N700,000 respectively from unknown buyers, according to the Daily Post.
Akinremi discovered during a Corps investigation that a man believed to be working with a criminal organization kidnapped his son from every buyer after every sale untill he as sold him to the last buyer, Dr. Nosa in Apapa.
The suspect confessed to the crime as a witness and was presented by the National Anti-Trafficking Agency for further investigation in order to locate the child and prosecute the suspect.
