Kisa MCA dies after being stabbed by area Mp.

Deputy Governor of Kakamega Ayub Savula announced the death on Saturday, April 1 of Kisa East  MCA Stephen Maloba.

Addressing the locas of Kakamega on Farouk Kibet’s Thanksgiving Day, Savula stated that the MCA had been stabbed to death in a skirmish with a local Mp.

The legislator, who was voted on a KANU ticket, died after a melee ensued between supporters of the two camps.

“We would like to stay here longer, but we can’t. Apologies for that. An MCA has just passed away in Khwisero Constituency.” Savula said.


He added that the MCA was stabbed after a confrontation issued a the two faction, that is his and that of an area Mp.

Kakamega senator Hon Boni Khalwale alleged that the MCA was killed due to political differences.


Khalwale noted that he was in a good mood, but that news ruined it. “The young man they killed was in my house for breakfast the other day. He was to vie on UDA, but he joined KANU and won.

“They have killed him. I am going to console them and not to cause more chaos,” said Khalwale.

The Governor and DG, offered to grace the funeral.


Khalwale apologiesed to  Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, while urging him allow them rush to the funeral.

At the time of going to press, police were yet to issue a statement.
