The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has joined the sports fraternity in mourning the untimely passing of Kenyan volleyball legend Janet Wanja. Wanja, who was celebrated for her passion and dedication to sports, succumbed to gallbladder cancer after a brave battle.

Wanja fell ill in August 2024, shortly after returning from the Paris Olympics, where she played a key role as the Malkia Strikers’ fitness trainer. Known for her vibrant energy and unwavering commitment, Wanja’s presence was felt both on and off the court.
