Residents of Kapsabet town were left in disbelief after a man was arrested while attempting to transport a large quantity of bhang in a bizarre manner. The suspect, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was caught with his torso tightly wrapped in multiple layers of black polythene bags filled with what police confirmed to be cannabis.
According to reports, the man was intercepted by law enforcement officers while riding a motorbike along the Kapsabet–Eldoret highway. His strange body shape reportedly aroused suspicion, prompting a stop and search. Upon inspection, police discovered kilos of neatly packed bhang strapped around his chest and waist using masking tape and black plastic bags.
Authorities believe the suspect was part of a larger network ferrying marijuana from Western Kenya to major towns. He was taken into custody and is expected to face charges related to possession and trafficking of narcotics.
Police have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity as they intensify efforts to curb drug trafficking in the region.
