The Majority Leader Kimani Ichungwa has wedded into lawyers Danstan Omari’s suing him.
In a statement, the MP note that he leant from the media that he was being sued yet he was never served by the court.
“He says, he has seen it today 11th May 2023 also that the same charges are being withdrawn adding that he was so ready for it.”
“Sometime back i learnt from the media i was being sued,i was never served. NOW,Seen this apparent withdrawal? How now when i was sooo ready?” Said Ichungwa.
Ichungwah categorically stated that no one can intimidate him and pointed out to unspecified person whom he says must stop using his name for attention seeking.
“I am the last man to be intimidated and someone MUST desist from using my name for attention seeking media theatrics! Prosecute cases in Court NOT in media houses!”.
Ichungwah has earlier been sued over the tweet he had made on the lawyer Danstan saying “Phew! At least am known in Kikuyu by my people unlike the fake media-based liar only known along Koinange Street.”
Danstan Omari interpreted this to mean he was a gay which he says defamed his reputation as a lawyer and a family man.
However, a directory has been made to the court to have the case withdrawn.
“TAKE NOTICE_that the Applicant/ Plaintiff herein gives notice and wholly intends to withdraw the Application and Plaint they filed dated 25th April 2023, pursuant to Order 25 Rule 1 of the Civil Procedure Rules 2010.” The letter dated 27th April
