The Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has softened his heart over those who opposed his candidacy in the previous polls.
Speaking in Nyeri, Gachagua noted that For the sake of unity in Mt Kenya, he is ready and willing to work with those who opposed their candidacy in the last general elections.
“For the sake of unity in Mt Kenya, I am ready and willing to work with those who opposed our candidacy in the last general elections…” Said Gachagua.

Gachagua’s extension of an olive branch to his political opponents comes at a time when discussions about unity in the region are prevalent.
Many have called for him and former President Uhuru Kenyatta to put aside their political differences to achieve political stability in this influential voting region.
