In a scathing critique of the current administration, former presidential aspirant Dr. EKIRU Aukot has raised alarm bells over the deteriorating state of public services in Kenya.

Dr. Aukot, a prominent figure in Kenyan politics, taking to X platform formerly twitter, expressed deep concern over the crisis gripping various sectors, citing healthcare, education, agriculture, and food security as particularly vulnerable areas. According to him, the health services are in a state of emergency, with inadequate resources and crumbling infrastructure failing to meet the needs of the population.

Furthermore, Dr. Aukot highlighted the alarming decline in education services, attributing it to insufficient funding that is pushing the system to the brink of collapse. He emphasized the urgent need for intervention to prevent a further deterioration in the quality of education, which he described as “grinding to a halt.”

Agriculture and food security, pillars of Kenya’s economy, are also under threat, according to Dr. Aukot. He pointed to reports of counterfeit fertilizers made from Diatomite dust in Kariandusi Naivasha, which pose a serious risk to agricultural productivity and food supply chains.

In his criticism, Dr. Aukot did not mince words regarding the competence of cabinet secretaries overseeing these critical sectors, labeling them as “shockingly incompetent.” He lamented the lack of effective leadership and called for urgent reforms to address the systemic failures plaguing the country.

Moreover, Dr. Aukot accused President Williams Ruto of misplaced priorities, alleging that the focus on unconstitutional housing projects has diverted attention and resources away from pressing issues facing the nation. He described the situation as “truly tragic for Kenya,” emphasizing the need for decisive action to avert further decline.
