Fake alcohol drinks recovered, pipeline, Nakuru.

Police have reportedly recovered a consignment of alcoholic drinks bearing fake KRA stamps at a premise in Pipeline area, Nakuru County.

According to reports seen by K47 news team, the raid was conducted by Economic Crime Unit, assisted by KRA officials.

“In a raid conducted by detectives from the Economic Crimes unit assisted by KRA officials, over 120 cartons of assorted alcoholic drinks affixed with counterfeit KRA stamps were recovered.” He said

Among the consignment seized are 79 cartons of Spark vodka, 26 of Bob vodka, 17 of Best vodka, 1 carton of Boss vodka and 2 cartons full of assorted bottle caps.

It has been gathered that the value of the goods seized was estimated at Sh730,000 and the total tax lost Sh342,482.

“Meanwhile, the products were seized after a notice of seizure was issued.Efforts to arrest the owner of the unlicensed business are currently ongoing.” Read the police station.
