The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) operatives in Plateau State foiled what could have been a tragic Sunday morning after intercepting an armed man at a church in Bokkos Local Government Area.

According to reports shared by security analyst Zagazola Makama via the X platform and reviewed by K47 Digital News, the alarming incident unfolded at around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, during a routine security patrol in the vicinity of a local church.

Sources privy to the operation disclosed that the NSCDC personnel acted swiftly on actionable intelligence, which led to the timely apprehension of the suspect. Officers confronted the man within the church compound, where he was allegedly found in possession of a firearm.

“The suspect was found in possession of a gun and could not provide any satisfactory explanation or legal documentation for it. The swift action of our operatives helped prevent what could have escalated into a serious security breach,” the source revealed.
