The National Police Service has intensified it’s crackdown on illicit brews and counterfeit goods in Kiambu County.
In their Operations, police, on 13th April, 2022 discovered an illegal alcohol packaging den in Witeithie.
“Yesterday, Police in Kiambu County discovered an illegal alcohol packaging den behind a bar in Witeithie Township during an operation conducted in the area alongside National Government Administration Officers.” A police statement read.
The authorities reportedly seized 500 litres of assorted suspected alcoholic drinks including ethanol, Chrome, Aquila, and Blue Ice Vodka.
In addition the officers recovered KRA seals and several pieces of bottle tops.
One female suspect Nduta was arrested and is currently in police custody awaiting arraignment.
