Two suspects have been charged in Kahawa Law Courts for cyber squatting after allegedly creating fake social media accounts impersonating top government officials to defraud Kenyans.

Tony Blair Okello, a university student, and his accomplice, tech-savvy Tyson Odhiambo Otieno, were arrested in Bungoma County for running the scam. Investigators revealed that Tyson had been opening fake accounts, selling them, and even training others—like Tony—to run fraud schemes.

Released on a KSh 35,000 cash bail, the case will be mentioned on April 28.
