The United States of America, through its Ambassador to Kenya Meg Whitman has responded to the new found relationship between president William Samoe Ruto and the opposition Chief Raila Amolo Odinga.
In a statement via twitter, Meg Whitman says US welcome the agreement by President Ruto and former PM Raila Odinga to establish a bipartisan process to find a lasting solutions that benefit all Kenyans.
She detailed that US commend both leaders for their commitment to peaceful dialogue, and call on all parties to support this process.
“We welcome the agreement by President Ruto and former PM Raila Odinga to establish a bipartisan process to find solutions that benefit all Kenyans. We commend both leaders for their commitment to peaceful dialogue, and call on all parties to support this process.” Her statement reads in part.
Meg Whitman remarks comes one day after the opposition Chief called off the countrywide demonstration in order to give dialogue a space following president Ruto’s climb down.
