UON Revolutionizes Payments! Go Cashless with E-Citizen
The University of Nairobi (UON) has implemented a new payment system for its services, requiring all transactions to be made through the E-Citizen platform in adherence to a directive from the Kenyan Government. Clients are urged to follow specific instructions to ensure seamless payments.
For those opting for M-PESA transactions, the steps are as follows: initiate the payment from your M-PESA account, select Lipa na M-PESA, enter the designated Pay Bill Business Number (222222), input the Account Number using the Outlet/Live identifier in uppercase letters, followed by a hyphen and your name (e.g., NUK1-name). After specifying the amount, enter your M-PESA PIN and confirm the payment.
This move towards digital payments aims to streamline financial processes and enhance convenience for clients.
The University of Nairobi says it has diligently established the necessary systems to facilitate transactions through E-Citizen, aligning with the government’s directive for a more efficient and transparent payment ecosystem.
Students and stakeholders are encouraged to familiarize themselves with these payment instructions to ensure compliance and avoid any disruptions in accessing university services.
As technology continues to play a pivotal role in modernizing administrative procedures, UON remains committed to embracing innovations that enhance the overall experience for its academic community.
