Homa Bay Sub County is in deep mourning following a devastating road accident that claimed the lives of two respected educators. The incident occurred at Arujo, where a motorcycle carrying the two teachers collided head-on with a vehicle, leaving the community in shock.

The deceased have been identified as Mr. Richard, a teacher at Ruga Mixed Secondary School, and Mr. Geoffrey, from Sero Mixed Secondary School. According to reports, the two were returning from a Competency Based Education (CBE) retooling centre, where they had attended a professional training session aimed at enhancing teaching skills under the new curriculum.

Eyewitnesses at the scene described the crash as horrific, with the motorcycle trapped under the vehicle’s front bumper. Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but the teachers succumbed to their injuries before receiving medical attention.
