Subsidized Gov’t fertilizer recovered in Sipili Agrivet, Laikipia County.

The National Police Service NPS were yesterday March 8th, 2023, afternoon, recovered the subsidized fertilizer at Sipili Agrivet in Laikipia County.

This followed after Officers from Sipili and Nga’arua Police Station, led by Sub County Police Commander Kirima Sub-County acting on a tip off from members of the public, reportedly raided Blessed Agrovet in Sipili Township.

It was gathered that the Fertilizer was destined for sell

“At the said agrovet, police says they recovered one hundred and twenty (120) 50kg bags of government subsidized fertilizer suspected to be destined for re-sale.” Said NPS.

One motor vehicle make Isuzu Dmax which was used for transportation was impounded and detained at Sipili Police Station, while the exhibits are kept at Nga’arua Police Station.

Two suspects namely Francis Githiora, 41 and Sarah Murugi, 38 were arrested and detained at Sipili Police Station in connection with despicable act pending arraignment in Court.

Source close to K47 digital news details that a similar scenario is happening at Sirikwa Kuresoi north sub-county.
