Sonko ‘at war’ with safaricom after twice deduction at a petrol station.

Former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has taken an issue with Safaricom after he was allegedly deducted twice the required amount at Shell Petrol Station Panafric Hotel.

Sonko complaint emanate from delay remittance of transaction which he says is costing Safaricom customers.

“Nyinyi @SafaricomPLC your delay in remitting whether a transaction is successful is really costing us.” Sonko said via twitter.

“Today I fueled at Shell petrol station Panafric Hotel na when I paid via mpesa app ilisema not successful try again. After trying again pesa yangu was deducted twice at 10:43amKuwauliza shell wakasema hawaezi refund maybe I reverse.” He added.

Sonko however tried to reverse the transaction but he was told it won’t be possible.

“When I tried to reverse wakasema reversal denied. How do you handle such a case juu sasa nikiwavuruga utaskia ati I’m not supposed to act hivyo? @Safaricom_Care.”

Safaricom, taking to comment section, reacted saying “Hello Mike Sonko, we apologize for the inconvenience. We have initiated reversal of the second transaction and you will get feedback once completed.”

Sonko’s complaint resurrected previous victims of the same.

@Mkulimamkuu: “I lost money due to such exact case the other day,sasa mtu ako na fuliza ameenda pesa zangu. You refunded only 72/= bob out of 2k.”
