Police allegedly arrest elderly parents, hours later, private developer moves in and fences part of family land.

A video footage has surfaced online of alleged private developer gabbing elderly couples’ land.

This was made known by Boniface Mwangi, a human rights activists who shared video footage on his Twitter post, on Saturday 20th August 2022.

According to Boniface Mwangi, the parents were arrested at the gate of their home, Lavington.

The daughter to the elderly couple, in a video footage, says she doesn’t know wher her parents were taken to after arrest.

She says she has lived at that place for 27 years and she is shocked by the sudden change of event.

“You’re chilling in your house, the police @DCI_Kenya come and arrest your elderly parents, and then a private developer moves in, and fences part of your family home. That happened today in Lavington. @Lands_Kenya @IG_NPS the family want to know what’s going on. Kenya Yetu!” Boniface Mwangi captioned the video.

The Kieleleshwa MCA Hon. Robert Alai says he visited the family and the couples have been set free.

“Visited the family in their home last night. The parents have been released and I asked the Muthaiga and Muthangari OCS to keep off the civil dispute.

“I asked that respect for due process is paramount for law and order to be maintained.

“The thugs have retreated. We warned them that thuggery will be resisted with thuggery.” Said Alai.
