The National Police Service says it has noted with serious concern, a lot of propaganda circulating via social media amidst the ongoing Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance demonstrations in Nairobi, the latest being the falsehood that NPS is abeting hired goons to cause mayhem in Nairobi.
NPS has now come out to refute the claims saying it is unfounded and malicious act that intends to cause chao and tarnish the image of police.
“We wish to bring to the attention of the General public that such unfounded and malicious claims are not only intended to cause unnecessary fear in the society, but are also deliberate moves meant to tarnish the image of the National Police Service.” Said the National Policy Service.
NPS further reiterated it’s commitment to discharge it’s constitutional obligation with impartiality.
“As a law enforcement agency, we wish to reiterate our commitment to discharge our Constitutional mandate which is to serve and protect, without fear or favor, while adhering to the rule of law and utmost respect for human rights.”
