A man, identified as Vincent Ochieng is seeking help from Kenyans on Twitter KOT.
He says, he pleads with well wishers to help him get a laptop after his only one was stolen at Juja market.
The heartbroken man says he already made a tough decision to drop out of school due to lack of school fees.
“Hey #KOT, my name is Vincent Ochieng, student at jkuat. Below is a pic of me at juja market hustling. Am pleading with you guys to help me get a laptop kindly coz that’s where all my hopes lies. I already made a tough decision last year to drop out of campus due to lack of fees.”
“Okay my dad amekuwa ill for quite sometimes and my mom could nolonger support both me and my two sisters in high school while at the same time taking care of dad. So nliamua Mimi ndio nichukue leave until things could get better.” Said Ochieng in a post.
He says he decided to venture into software engineer, something that has been helping him get something to pull him through.
“During this time I thought what I could do, I decided to get into software development and social media marketing. Nliamua kuanza na digital marketing coz through at least I could get some gigs to keep me going as I do software engineering.”
He further note that he did and completed an online Digital Marketing course which was being offered freely by Aleph Digital Ads in March.
“And I had already started learning software development until lately I was robbed my laptop apo Jerusalem Street kutoka gate B ya jkuat juja.”
Ochieng says he has tried hawking business but it has proven to be tough as it isn’t enough to pay rent, leave alone eating.
“Nshajaribu mpaka kuhawk fruits but ni ngumu manze juu kuna rent pia inafaa ilipwe. Sometimes it get tough mpaka nalala njaa. So nisaidieni please.” He concluded.
