Nairobi set for electric bicycle 🚳 transportation – Rachel Ruto.

The First Lady yesterday, 8th May met with Joost Boeles, the CEO of Ebee, to discuss areas of partnership in line with the company’s strong social conscience and commitment to creating sustainable economic opportunities and employment, especially for young people.

She said the company, Ebee, in Amsterdam is set to introduce electric bicycle in Nairobi city.

She wrote, “Ebee, an innovative electric bicycle company based in Amsterdam and operating in Kenya, is poised to transform transport in Nairobi and other sub-Saharan cities with its 100% electric bicycles.”

“The company focuses on last-mile delivery and has partnerships with major delivery platforms as well as fast food chains. They manufacture e-bikes specifically designed for food and light parcel delivery.”

“Instead of traditional two-wheelers, e-bikes are environmentally friendly and versatile for various purposes.” Said Rachel Ruto.
