Murang’a: Catholic Priest, 43, dies in a steamy session with girlfriend, aged 32.

A Catholic priest in charge of St. Peters Ruai has reportedly died after a night of fun with his girlfriend at a Murang’a hotel.

The priest, who has since been identified as Joseph Kariuki Wanjiku, aged, was pronounced dead on the morning of Saturday, July 8, after his lover rushed him to the hospital.

A police report indicates that the lovers checked into Monalisa Hotel Delview in Gatanga on the evening of Friday, but he started feeling unwell yesterday morning

The Catholic father was pronounced dead while still in his car, which had been used to take him to the hospital.

The foods and drinks that the lovers took on their fun night have been taken for further analysis as investigations continue.


According to the reports seen by the K47 digital news team: “One Joseph Kariuki Wanjiku a k/m/a aged 43yrs old, a Catholic priest at Archdiocese of Nairobi and a farmer at Mangu area checked in at the said hotel together with his girlfriend who also happens to be her colleague at the workplace in Ruai.”

Around 8 am on Saturday, the lady, aged 32, is reported to have notified the hotel’s management that Kariuki was getting dizzy and unconscious, which prompted a visit to a nearby hospital.

“They then rushed him to Kenol hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival while still aboard his motor vehicle Toyota Harrier black in colour.”

Police details that the priest’s body was found half-covered with a hotel bed sheet and white foam coming from his mouth and nose.

The body has been ferried to Mater Hospital mortuary in Nairobi county, awaiting autopsy.
