The Kieleleswa MCA Hon Robert Alai has told Kenyans not to give out money in every problem they see.
Alai asks Kenyans to, “sit down and review why Col Moustapha is where he is. How many times have you guys given Omosh money and even a house?”
“Has that been the solution? What’s happening with Col? Money becomes a catalyst for destruction when the root cause hasn’t been revised well.”
His remarks has attracted reactions from Netizens.
Amad Salim: “One thing we need to agree Col Moustapha did not ask for help. His clip was secretly recorded and leaked. Now we can’t doubt that at least. And it’s well wishers. Media twisted it being him asking for help. He genuinely was earning his stripes the hard way.”
Michael Kioko: “Mustapha and Omosh in the same statement, it’s already disrespectful to Col. Omosh cries on Facebook Lite live but Col went to hustle. And people more often end up there because of bad financial decisions. Is it avoidable? Yes but he needs help and we will help. He didn’t ask.”
Mungau: “What is needed where he stands at the moment is money to take his mother to hospital. The lecture can come later.”
Simon: “And elected politicians should be the last ones to lecture people on how they use their money. Presently, we can’t walk in the CBD when it rains coz of flooding. He should be thinking of a lasting solution instead of policing how people spend.”
