Those employed permanently to lose their job – Senator.

Kericho County Senator Hon Aaron Cheruiyot has detailed that the Gov’t of Kenya needs to move from permanent to contractual mode of employment.

Aaron Cheruiyot, who was elected on UDA ticket took to Twitter to reveal this.

He cited an increasing wage bill as the genesis of this idea which he believes will solve the problem.

“it’s time as a country we have a conversation on GOK employment model of PnP as opposed to contract based employment .

“Many countries are shifting from long term PnP to contract based employment that is lean, efficient & sustainable. The present day wage bill is unsustainable.” Said Cheruiyot.

The source closer to K47 digital news team agreed with the senator.

“The truth is the KK Gov’t must do something that is very unpopular world over but must be done, even the private sector does it, Layoffs!When an economy is weak, revenues low and resources are stretched, it is a painful but mandatory move.”
