The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has officially invited students to various public and private universities across the country.
Education Minister Ezekiel Machogu officially released the 2024/2025 KUCCPS student placement report on Wednesday, May 21, at The Edge Convention Centre- College of Insurance in South C, Nairobi.
KUCCPS Board Chairman Mr. Cyrus Gituai and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Agnes Mercy Wahome were also present during the release of the report.
During the event, it was revealed that 85% of the 2023 KCSE candidates who scored C+ and above applied to universities, with 76.2% choosing degree courses while others (11,991) opted for Diplomas. The Bachelor of Education degree attracted the highest number of applicants.
Male applicants continued to dominate the placement in degree programs, while female students were the majority in TVET programs.
Applicants can now check the results of their degree or diploma applications on the official KUCCPS website (https://students.kuccps.net/), which has already been updated.
Selected students are expected to join various universities starting in September this year.
