The (KNEC) has officially released the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination certificates, issuing a firm directive to schools across the country to hand them over to candidates without delay — even where school fee balances exist.

In a public notice circulated on its official platforms, KNEC confirmed that all 2024 KCSE certificates have been dispatched to schools that presented candidates for the examination. The certificates were delivered through Sub-County Directors of Education offices nationwide, marking a major milestone for last year’s candidates.

KNEC advised candidates to liaise directly with the secondary schools where they sat their KCSE examinations to collect their certificates. Importantly, the council reiterated that withholding examination certificates on grounds of unpaid school fees is illegal.

“Any candidate whose certificate is withheld should immediately report the matter to the Sub-County Director of Education,” the council warned, reinforcing existing government policy aimed at protecting learners’ academic rights.
