The Jubilee woe continue to worsen as Political Parties Disputes Tribunal issues stay orders against all decisions made by the former Jubilee Party Internal Dispute Resolution Committee on 30th May 2023, including the purported invalidation of NDC held on the 22nd May 2023 and which was led by former president Uhuru Kenyatta.
In the ruling that was brought up before Hon. Desma Nungo, Chairperson, PPDT on 14th June 2023 for directions on the Notice of Motion Application dated 12th June 2023 fled under Certificate of Urgency AND UPON PERUSAL of the subject Notice of Motion Application together with the Supporting Affidavit sworn by JEREMIAH KIONI and the annexures filed electronically by the Complainant/Applicant AND in the absence of the Complainant/Applicant and the Respondents and Interested Party or their Counsel, it was filled that:
THAT the Notice of Motion application dated 12th June 2023 be and is hereby certified urgent for consideration exparte in this first instance only.
THAT the Complaint and Notice of Motion application dated 12th June 2023 be served upon the Respondents and Interested Party within three (3) days of the date hereof and a return of service be filed.
THAT the Respondents an Interested Party to file and serve their responses) to the Application within seven (7) days of the date of service.
THAT the Notice of Motion Application dated 12th June 2023 be listed for mention on 27th June 2023 at 2.30pm to check on compliance and/or for further directions.
THAT pending the hearing and determination of the Application inter partes, interim conservatory orders are hereby issued staying the 1st Respondent’s decision dated 30th May 2023 including any decisions, actions, resolutions or pronouncements taken pursuant thereto.
