The Azimio La Umoja running mate Martha Karua has hit out at the Inspector of police Japheth Koome over ban of Azimio’s protest on Monday.
In a statement to the media, Karua says that no police including IG koome has authority to ban a peaceful demonstration.
She has tasked Koome to get someone with legal experties to read the constitution for him.
Karua further warned any officer from contravening the constitution saying they will be liable individually.
“Police including IG koome has no authority to ban a peaceful demonstration @NPSOfficial_KE read the constitution or get someone with legal literacy to read for you. Any officer who cotravenes the law will be laible individually.”
