The main suspect in the killing of former Nairobi Hospital Acting Finance Director Eric Maigo has pleaded guilty to murder charges.
Anne Adhiambo Ouma, a young woman, was arraigned before a High Court judge Kanyi Kimondo on Thursday morning during which she confessed to killing Maigo.
The court clerk read to her three times the offence she is accused of killing and Adhiambo responded in affirmative.
Her response shocked the Prosecution who to gave her time to consult with her lawyers again before she could plead again to the charges.
Adhiambo is represented by Lawyer Samuel Ayora.
She is set to remain in custody at Langata Women’s Prison and appear for plea taking on November 8.
It remains to be seen how will they go about it now that she has confessed killing Eric Maigo?
The analyst describes the incident as “tough but she was seemingly provoked by the boyfriend”.
Following her confession, Kenyans are wondering if Anne Adhiambo was coerced to plead guilty?
“And I wouldn’t at all be surprised if later she confesses that she was forced to take the plea.” Source who spoke to k47 digital news team said.
