The freedom fighter Dedan Kimathi’s widow Mukami Kimathi is underway.
Mukami Kimathi and the eulogy had to be stopped for a while as attendees vigorously cheered the former PM, Raila Odinga, including President William Ruto who stood up to welcome him.
This is the first public appearance between president Ruto and opposition chief Raila Odinga at the same function since the August 2022 election.
President William Ruto, DP Rigathi Gachagua and Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi were among top Gov’t officials present at the burial of Field Marshal Mukami Kimathi.
